Xcel Energy has named Stephanie Peña as the new Social Investments manager after Terry Price’s retirement in December.

In this role, Peña will be responsible for Xcel Energy Foundation grant partnerships in the Texas and New Mexico service area. Her main focus is on three core areas: STEM Career Pathways, Environmental Sustainability, and Community Vitality. 

She will also lead the company’s employee engagement initiatives and coordinate the annual United Way campaign.

Peña is a native of the Texas Panhandle, graduating from Hereford High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from West Texas A&M University.

She’s worked nonprofit jobs for the past 10 years. She is also a certified public information officer and certified major gifts officer.
