An estimated half million acres of Roberts County were burned during the recent Smokehouse Fire, and hundreds of hay bales are being donated and piled up at the Roberts County Airport but more will be needed pending the weather conditions over the next six to eight months.

Some County officials say this could be a two-year process for farmers and ranchers to restock.

The growing concern is if Roberts County does not get the moisture it needs,
